The Weather

Ninety degrees' drop in three months.

Fifty degrees' drop in four days.

From stifling heat and humidity to snow flurries, from flip-flops to parkas in six weeks.

Four beautifully distinct seasons, my ass. I'll tell you what they are: Mid-October-March = frigid, April-May and September-mid-October = lovely, and June-August = hell on earth. I wish sometimes that they could just pick up this entire school and move it to some lovely warm state magically lacking in humidity. Since that won't happen, though, I'm learning to drink tea to stay warm. (I'm down to needing only an eighth of a cup of sugar to stomach it, yay!) So it's off to the kitchen for lunch and tea nectar.

Here is a tip for tea that I find very enjoyable:

Go to the store and procure a box of Twinings Irish Breakfast Tea, if you don't possess some already. If the store does not have Irish Breakfast Tea, English Breakfast Tea should be quite comparable.

Go home and brew the tea in hot water in you mug for five minutes. Before removing the teabag, pour some milk in, and then swirl the teabag around to mix it all together (saves a spoon from being dirtied).

Sit down under a cozy blanket, turn on some Law & Order, and enjoy your tea.

***Irish/English Breakfast Tea is enjoyable at all hours of the day, it is not just for breakfast.

I'll have to try that (especially the Law & Order part!). I've been hitting the Lipton herbal tea variety pack. I couldn't finish chamomile or peppermint before they went cold and got all disgusting, but apple cinnamon wasn't too bad.
