Yay conventions!
I told myself I wouldn't be going to the Pseudonymous Convention unless my name was on a submission. I loved the last one I went to, but the travel is too expensive to go just for fun. The deadline for submissions is in about two weeks. I'm an undergrad lackey with no research of my own right now, and Dr. Candid Advice doesn't have enough data to submit yet, so my chances of going were not looking good.Dr. Way-Too-Generous asked me earlier in the semester if I would be going to Pseudonymous Convention and I told him why I likely wouldn't. He threw together a quick project out of basic conditioning processes and let me volunteer to help. We have data now, so he's submitting a proposal and I am going to Pseudonymous Convention. I am terribly excited, but a bit worried about the timing of the convention, since it's the start of prime wedding season and I know quite a few people getting married this summer. Oh, well. I guess I'll worry about that when I find out (a) when these weddings are and (b) if I'm even invited.

Our wedding is June 2. Just so you know. And I'm 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% sure you're on the guest list. ;)
BTW< did I mention how glad I am you are back to using the Blogger comment gizmo. That other one was kinda strange and not as pretty.

That's a lot of nines. And it's (shortly) after I get home from the convention! Double yay!!
I promise to leave it on Blogger comments from now on. I only switched in the first place because I was sick of getting drug ads in my comments, but hey, someone who reads me might just have a burning desire for cheap phentermine, right?

Congratulations!! Everyone will be impressed that you are "so young" and already submitting to conferences. (If your conferences are anything like my conferences.)

Heck yes you're invited!
Congratulations on the submission! I'm so completely impressed! The only research I do is for silly little five page history papers for which I haven't yet even picked a topic!
Wow, I sounded like a valley girl there for a moment.

Congrats! Have fun at the conference. That's so cool of your prof to just whip up a project for you.
