Blurbs

Why blurbs? Because the things I want to write about are too short for an actual post.

Wonderful professors who opt to bring desserts and snack mix instead of having a final exam? Yeah, they rock.
And remember the controversial paper topic? It all worked out. My wonderful professors put their free will aside just long enough to decide I wrote a good paper, and I ended up with an A in the class.

Dr. Way-Too-Generous once told me never to work too hard, because once people see what you're capable of doing they'll expect you to do it all the time. I thought he was just getting old and cynical. I mean, deliberately advising a student to perform at sub-optimal levels? No way was he right!
He was right. It's finals week here and I just got an email tonight from a person I barely know saying that her professor said about half of her 30-page paper is done wrong and needs an APA style revision. It has to be done before Friday, so she asked Dr. Department Head to recommend someone to look over it for her and guess whose name came up? Why me? Because I bothered to write an APA style template for our psychology club website. Oh, the delicious semi-irony of it all. :)
