(Alternate title: I think this just might make me a Bad Feminist.)

I was working out my budget for this semester and realized that, as usual, I find myself lacking money. Seventeen credits, plus books, plus research costs will do that to a person. And all that leaves precious little time in which one can do paid work and still do everything well. So I was looking around the buildings on campus for paid opportunities to be a research participant when a flyer caught my eye.

Part-time work available on campus, it said. [I'm listening...]

Two to six hours a week, it said. [Okay, sounds good...]

Fifteen dollars an hour, it said. [You've hooked me! Even at just two hours a week, that's ample grocery money right there.]

I had my interview today. I'll find out next week if the job is mine or not, but it sounded promising.

Oh yeah, the job? Nude model for some local artists. You should have heard my mother sputtering over the phone when I told her that. But hey, at least it's better than the time I tried to break into foot porn. And maybe I'll be able to shame myself into losing some weight. :)
