Impulsivity
Okay, so on Monday night, Guy Friday and I were talking about the wedding. With everyone we wanted to invite, and everyone we were socially obligated to invite, we realized we would have more than 60 people there, including 20+ children. There is no place in Ruralville that can hold that many people. And we didn't ever want such a big to-do. I was sick of planning and stressing over every little detail. So yesterday we went out and bought our wedding rings.
This afternoon, we made arrangements with our officiant.
As of tonight, I have a dress on the way and he has a sport coat en route, both express shipping.
We're getting our marriage license either tomorrow or Friday.
And next Friday, November 21, on the anniversary of our first date, we're getting married. (Hey, The Friends, I know it's very short notice, but you are still welcome if you have the ability and willingness to get here! Late afternoon, same place. Call for details.)
Some anniversary, we will celebrate by renewing our vows and then we'll have the big to-do for everyone. But for now, we're doing things the way we want to do them.
